Josilynn Flores

Articling Student

Josilynn joined Douglas Law Firm as a Summer Law Student in 2019, Summer 2020, and Summer 2021. She obtained her LLB from the University of Sussex and graduated with Honours Second Class (Division One) and then returned to join the team in July 2022 as an Articling Student. Josilynn previously earned an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights and Human Diversity from Wilfrid Laurier University.

The growth that the firm provides is what drew Josilynn to Douglas Law Firm. She enjoys interacting with clients and fostering relationships with them. Josilynn believes that the work a Lawyer does is meaningful and satisfying, and she is committed to advocating for those who are unable to speak up for themselves.

As a Peer Mentor in Law School, Josilynn provided guidance, motivation, emotional support, and role modeling to incoming first and second-year law students. She also participated in mooting where she acted as Senior Legal Counsel for a case that dealt with transgender family rights. As well in her final year of Law School, Josilynn held and organized an Indigenous Law Study Group where she provided assistance to a range of academic learning levels.

In my spare time, Josilynn enjoys traveling and trying new food. She is also a movie buff and open to new recommendations!
