Katherine Stasiak

Barrister & Solicitor

Katherine graduated from Queen’s University majoring in Sociology. She received her Juris Doctor from Bond University in Australia. Following law school, Katherine remained in Queensland and was called to the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia, after obtaining her Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. Katherine practiced in Queensland, for a number of years, primarily practicing in Family Law and appearing regularly before the Federal Court. Upon her return to Ontario, Katherine worked for a large Canadian law firm before being called to the Ontario Bar.

Katherine also has experience working for the Ministry of the Attorney General in the Ontario Court of Justice. Katherine currently practices solely in Family Law and loves helping her clients. Her friendly and personable nature helps to comfort her clients through the good times and bad, and helps navigate them through often highly emotional and sensitive times. Her experience in a courtroom setting, and in negotiations outside of court, help to focus her clients toward a resolution and their end goal. Most importantly, Katherine cares about her clients and their outcomes. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the York Region Law Association and a member of the Simcoe County Law Association.

Katherine is a key component of Douglas Law Firm, and we are proud to have her working for us.
