Ashley is a Real Estate Law Clerk at Douglas Law Firm, where she assists with residential and real estate matters and provides support throughout the various stages of real estate transactions. In her role, Ashley enjoys the opportunity to build on her legal knowledge, strengthen her skills, and help clients navigate the legal aspects of buying and selling property.
Before joining Douglas Law Firm, Ashley worked as a legal assistant at a personal injury law firm, where she developed valuable skills in case management, organization, and client communication. She also gained experience supporting Landlord and Tenant matters, Small Claims cases, and various administrative tasks at Douglas Law Firm, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the firm’s operations and different areas of law. Prior to her legal career, Ashley built a strong foundation in customer service through roles in retail, serving, and bartending, which enhanced her ability to work in fast-paced environments and provide excellent client support.
Ashley’s passion for law began in high school during her first law class, where she became fascinated by how legal systems shape society. As she continued her education and gained experience in the legal field, she discovered a strong interest in helping individuals navigate important legal processes. Her transition into Real Estate Law has allowed her to develop a new area of expertise while continuing to build the practical skills and knowledge needed to support clients through significant transactions.
Ashley holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Law and Society from Wilfrid Laurier University, with double minors in Criminology and Human Rights. She later completed the 13-month Accelerated Paralegal Program at Seneca Polytechnic and successfully obtained her P1 license in February 2025. She continues to expand her legal knowledge and professional experience through her work in Real Estate Law.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
