Ashley Katsandris
Legal Assistant
Ashley is a Legal Assistant and Receptionist at Douglas Law Firm, providing support in Landlord and Tenant matters, Small Claims cases, and various administrative tasks to gain a deeper understanding of firm operations.
Before joining Douglas Law Firm, Ashley worked as a legal assistant at a personal injury law firm, where she developed valuable skills in case management and client communication. Prior to her legal career, she built a strong foundation in customer service through roles in retail, serving, and bartending, which enhanced her ability to work in fast-paced environments and provide excellent client support.
Ashley’s passion for law began in high school during her first law class, where she became fascinated by how legal systems shape society. As she continued her education, she realized her true calling was in assisting individuals through legal processes. She has a strong interest in Landlord and Tenant Law, Small Claims Court, and Family Law, with aspirations of furthering her legal career in the future.
Ashley holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Law and Society from Wilfrid Laurier University, with double minors in Criminology and Human Rights. She later completed the 13-month Accelerated Paralegal Program at Seneca Polytechnic and successfully obtained her P1 license in February 2025.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. A passionate dog-lover, she spends as much time as possible with her friends’ dogs.
