Rob is a Family Law Clerk and Licensed Paralegal at Douglas Law Firm, where he assists clients with their Family Law matters and draws on more than a decade of experience in the legal field. With a strong passion for Family Law, Rob brings extensive practical experience, a personable approach, and a genuine commitment to helping clients navigate challenging circumstances.

Rob has worked in the legal field for over 10 years, beginning his career as a Law Clerk before becoming a Licensed Paralegal. Prior to entering the legal profession, Rob worked in a factory and held a variety of other jobs. His career path into law began after a separation, when he decided to return to school. Originally interested in becoming a police officer, Rob chose to pursue the Law Clerk program as a practical way to enter the legal field. He quickly discovered that he enjoyed the work and the environment so much that he decided to build his career in law. Becoming a Licensed Paralegal was a natural next step, particularly with the introduction of licensing for Family Law Service Providers. Rob has always had a strong interest in Family Law and enjoys the opportunity to support people through important and often difficult periods in their lives.

What Rob enjoys most about working at Douglas Law Firm is the people. He appreciates the friendliness and helpfulness of the team and values the encouragement he receives from senior staff to continue developing his skills and pursuing opportunities for growth. Rob enjoys being part of a workplace where colleagues support one another and where professional development and advancement are encouraged.

Rob completed the full-time Law Clerk program at Georgian College before continuing his education at Seneca Polytechnic, where he completed the Paralegal program on a part-time basis. His education and years of hands-on legal experience have allowed him to develop a strong understanding of the legal profession and a practical approach to assisting clients with their Family Law matters.

Outside of work, Rob enjoys spending time with his family, playing video games, and reading. He is also a motorcycle enthusiast and hopes to get another motorcycle someday so he can share the experience of riding with his wife. At home, Rob and his family are kept busy by their black and tan Coonhound, Winnie, their new Chihuahua/Rat Terrier/Miniature Pinscher puppy, Chimney (or “Chim” for short), and their budgie, Herbert.
